A day out in it’s own right: the Hennererhof Café is one of our absolute favourite farm cafés in and around Schliersee. The homemade pasta, cakes, and Käsespätzle for sale in the farm shop are made with eggs from the farms hundreds of chickens.
The Hennererhof in Schliersee has been around for more than 200 years. Once a busy poultry business, visitors can now find a down-to-earth, family-run farm shop as well as a beautiful farm café with adjoiing beer garden.

The owners describe the café as “a starting point for beautiful hikes” and due to its stunning location, “a resting place for stressed guests”. And so you can expect to meet a variety of guests here at the Hennererhof. Families drive here from Munich for a beer garden lunch amongst the animals. Hikers stop here to refuel after completing the Prinzenweg from Tegernsee. Others stop by for a coffee and cake during a bike tour or as part of a detour along the easy loop trail around Schliersee.
Those lucky enough to grab a table in the beer garden in summer can enjoy one of the homemade cakes or a beer from the nearby Reutberg monastery brewery surrounded by the Bavarian Alps.

The Hennererhof is known for it’s large selection of homemade cakes, tarts and farm ice cream – all made from their homegrown ingredients.

The farm shops produce are also highly recommended, such as the homemade farmhouse bread, Käsespätzle, vegetable soup, chicken stew or herbal products from the farm’s herb garden. A few years ago, the farm switched completely to spelt, so even those with wheat allergies are really spoiled for choice.
