Regardless of how you book: We looked for the best farms near Schliersee – and found them.
Anderlbauer am See

With it’s unique location right on the water, the Anderlbauer farm is a wonderful choice for a farm holiday at Lake Schliersee. The history of the traditional Bauerhof goes back to the year 1700 and to this day, Anderlbauer am See operates as a grassland and rearing farm.
After a hearty breakfast, start your day with a walk round the lake, head out for a hike or take it easy and join a tour of the stables. The farm is particularly family-friendly and children are always welcome to lend a hand. Whether you stay in one of the apartments or one of the beautiful woden chalets in the middle of the orchard, you can expect high-quality, modern interiors and plenty of space for the whole family.
Biohof Jörgenbauer

Fabulous views of the hilly and wooded landscape of the Schliersee mountains are guaranteed at this organic farm. Surrounded by meadows and pastures, guests are invited to spend their holiday at a real working farm fully committed to the organic guidelines for cattle rearing.
As well as the cows (and farm guests), a menagerie of horses, chickens and rabbits live here. Children are welcome helpers to feed and pet the animals in the barn. Tractors, pedal vehicles and a giant trampoline provide even more outdoor entertainment for the little ones.
Guests planning their farm holiday in September are in for a special treat: the traditional Almabtrieb takes place here every year. Be sure to book early to experience this traditional custom and watch the beautifully decorated herds arrive home from the Alm to the stables of the Jörgenbauer Organic Farm for the winter.
Oberrißhof

Schliersee’s highest mountain farm, in operation since 1717, is currently run by the eighth generation of the Leitner family. The farm is surrounded by the Schliersee mountains and offers a fantastic view of the lake from both holiday apartments. The Ferienwohnung Oberrißtraum is the larger of the two and is more suitable for families. The Ferienwohnung Oberrißglück is smaller and correspondingly cheaper.
The Oberrißhof is a traditional Bauernhof where guests from the city can experience an interesting insight into the day-to-day work of a mountain farm, with its dairy cows and steep slopes, which can often only be cultivated by hand. Tip: one of the main attractions of the region, the Schliersbergalm, can be reached on foot from here in less than an hour. From there you can take a ride with the summer toboggan run down into the valley. Or just grab a drink and enjoy the views 😉
Koglhof

Experience real country life up close, away from the hustle and bustle of Schliersee, between Fischbachau and Bad-Feilnbach at the Koglhof farm. In the summer months, cattle graze right in front of the farm and children are welcome to watch the milking, lend a hand with the stable work, feed the rabbits in the petting zoo and help with the haymaking. The main attraction for excursions is of course the lake at Schliersee and the Mangfall mountains with hiking tours for all abilities.
Moar am Hof
Children are welcome helpers at the listed Moar am Hof farm between Schliersee and Miesbach. The little ones can help with the farm work on the 200-year-old Bauernhof and get to know the animals. As well as numerous cows, the farm has horses and donkeys. The breakfast milk, which you get fresh from the tank in the morning, comes from the farm’s own cows.
The main courtyard is perfect for a farm holiday with kids: A large garden with playground, football goal, trampoline, basketball hoop, vehicles, herb garden and much more. The holiday apartments for groups from 2 to 6 people, are bright, modern and furnished with beautiful local wood.

Children are welcome to help in the stable and feed the animals (by prior arrangement). The apartments are available to rent all year round and are suitable for 2-4 people. The Ehard-Hof is located in the Anklalm area in an unspoiled corner boardering the lake with fabulous views of the mountains, forests and meadows. As well as a small holiday home for up to 6 people, the farm also offers four holiday apartments for up to 4 people. The minimum stay is 5 nights or 1 week during peak season. Numerous animals including calves, rabbits, cats and ponies await visitors of all ages on this traditional farm. Guests of the Erhard-Hof are also welcome to visit the farm’s own Alm at 1300 m above the farm. Visitors love: the shore of Lake Schliersee is just 250 m away, the rooms however are kept very simple and don’t have that traditional alpine vibe some guests may be looking for.
Asenbauer-Hof
Just a two-minute walk from the southern shore of Schliersee, guests of Asenbauer-Hof can spend their farm holiday surrounded by horses and cows. A special holiday experience awaits horse lovers with a guided horseback riding tour with the farm’s own horses. Wellness massages are also offered on the farm. Guests sleep in one of five holiday apartments for 2 or 2-4 people. The Asenbauer-Hof is open all year round and is a great choice during the cold season with a ski room, ski boot warmer and campfire. The only drawback: due to the location on the lake and the proximity to the loop trail around the Schliersee, many walkers and cyclists can be found around the farm in the summer months.
Hofcafé beim Melchern

The farm café at Hofcafé beim Melchern is not strictly a farm. It’s beautiful location between working farms, meadows and pastures in the Leitzachtal valley more than qualifies this idyllic holiday home for a secluded farm holiday.
